Re: Musical instrument stuff
Agreed and you could also cram them in a rack case. It had too many buttons, lights and eq sliders for me to deal with. I kept it simple with tubes. A heavy ass bass, phone cable strings, passive pickups, and tube power is what all those fancy esoteric lights and switches aim to emulate. Wanna soun...

Re: Desert Island OTC
Rose Geranium is not nearly represented enough in the states. My palate is geared towards flavors similar to black coffee or flowers. I was fortunate enough to get a boat load of Dark plug rose geranium from Glynn Quelch years ago and that was probably my all time favorite next to Bracken Flake. I ...

Re: Musical instrument stuff
I had a 4x10 and a 1x18 set up. I wanted the versatility of a 15, but I think I'd dig the boomy-ness of the 18 now. I can't remember which Ampeg head I had... Something solid state. SVT III. I Liked 8 10's because they pushed a lot and cut through. Those old SVTIII were nice, I had one years back a...

Re: Musical instrument stuff
All I ever used was Ampeg heads and that bass driver and Sans Amp XXL pedal. I used to run 2 8x10s on both sides of the stage with an A/B box so I can control the level of Huge. My setup and the right front of house guy and it was game over. Nice, bet with all those 10s it was like a unrelent...

Re: Desert Island OTC
Oh hell yeah. You know what i’m talking about. Since GH is no longer as strongly topped, I much prefer LJP. Also the availability is always in stock at LJP. GH is all over the place, last couple years the Ennerdale and stuff hasn't been as over the top but we also got Cannon plug stateside and it's...

Re: Desert Island OTC
Prince Albert would be my first choice. Then SWRA. Then Borkum Riff Original. I'm assuming that...since we're fantasizing...I can also fantasize that someone else is footing the bill for the above mentioned products. Otherwise, I'm gonna have to call a technical and declare Low Country Vanilla an O...

Rose Geranium is not nearly represented enough in the states. My palate is geared towards flavors similar to black coffee or flowers. Not the same as GH toppings but have you tried any Peretti’s, specifically No Name? Not had No Name. DD, 102, 333 are tasty. I like the old timey dusty/herbal/light ...
