Re: Anatomy of a Corn Cob Pipe

I am not sure if my eyes are just deceiving me or what, but I've never seen the bottom of a cob bowl that looked quite like that. Can you maybe get a pic a little bit further away? It almost looks like the bottom of the pipe was filled in with pipe mud. I have poor light, and try as I might, I can'...

Totally common, it'll burn off a little and char up. Some people use pipe mud to level the bottom and fill in gaps.
Thanks. Always something to learn

Anatomy of a Corn Cob Pipe

I recently got a MM Cob, and as you would expect, it smokes beautifully. It’s a Charles Towne Cobbler. I have to admit it was a bit more expensive than your average drug store Cob, but still it was pretty cheap. Anyway, if you look closely you can see the shank coming in from the bottom left, and op...

For some reason I misread what he was asking. I thought he bought all the ones he checked off. :bang:
I have the lot now apart from 221B

Re: Scandalous!

Looks like Danish Pipe Shop still has the full Dunhill line-up except for 221B. I don't think I've ever seen 221B for sale here in the states(or actually anywhere), but it's possible I just wasn't paying attention. That makes sense as it’s the only one I haven’t been able to track down on this cont...

Re: Scandalous!

Mars has De Luxe Navy Rolls in stock still(not sure why the url says Early morning pipe..): http://www.marscigars.com/dunhill-earlymorningpipe-1.aspx Still on the expensive side, but might be worth it if you can't find it elsewhere. Good call. All I need now is Flake and 221B. It may have to be Eur...

Re: Scandalous!

Rich's is always expensive on just about everything, but especially Dunhill now that it's out of production. I’m trying to get three tins of all the Dunhill blends. Luckily enough I only purchased the one tin of RY there and found two more online. It’s a lovely shop, but in the four years I’ve been...

Lovely. If I’d put that much effort into anything, I’d certainly enjoy it all the more. Bravo!
