if im looking to polish a smooth pipe, is automotive carnauba wax cleaner wax acceptable to use or should i get the bar of pure wax instead?

Hi folks, just wanted to say hello! I've been smoking cigars for a couple years and inherited a couple pipes from my father in law who recently passed. I'm looking to learn lots about the hobby. Particularly the restoration of these pipes.
