Claypril™

I feel like I'm missing out on something. The only clays I have get shot up at the pigeon range in prep for fall bird hunting.

Let us talk Scotch

A lady friend of mine sent a surprise package that arrived today - signature required. From the topic of the original post, you can surmise what she sent. She knows I'm a Scotch fan but she doesn't know that I rarely stock anything but blue collar brands like Dewars, John Barr, J&B and the like...

Surprising knife set

Funny thing, I used to carry a Case stockman until I found a single blade china toothpick in some gas station or hardware store and took a fancy to it. Carried it until the blade dulled and swapped out the stockman until I could sharpen it back up. It ended up getting boxed in a move and I just hadn...

Hats

I like a driver's cap that is one piece, no snap. My grandfather used to wear wool caps like that. As long as there is no snap, I'm more inclined to try out that hat. I won't wear Autrailian bush hats with snaps on the side. It just looks stupid. Crocodile Dundee didn't snap up the sides of his hat...

I'll +1 the dislike for snaps on drivers/newsboy hats. Not a fan of those at all. And for clarification, the Bavarian hat is seasonal attire for me... reserved for Octoberfest only. Sits in a box the rest of the year. :-) Gosh, been so long I don't remember the profile name - I think it was WhaleKin...

Buying Pipes on EBay

I bought most of my pipes off eBay and cleaned them up. A lot of the newer pipes look "made in china" to me, while the older styles still pique my fancy. I only have a few that I bought new, mainly because of JR in North Carolina. They kept teasing me with a huge selection of free sample t...

Hats

Gosh, been so long I don't remember the profile name - I think it was WhaleKing out of Louisiana... I think he'd wear this hat in a heartbeat. Have always wanted to be a "hat guy," but nature gave me an unusually large brain case, so the typical one-size-fits-all jobs have never been an op...

Whatcha Doin'?

Clint looks exactly like my WWII vet grandfather in this film, except grandpa always kept a high and tight hair cut.
