Works for cigars. Should work fine for pipe tobacco.
I wouldn't suck all the air out, for fear of pulling moisture too.

Walgreens by my house had a corn cob for $9.99, so of course I had to save it from the dust of the bottom shelf it was hiding in.
Might have to go back and save the Dr Grabow that was sitting next to it, tomorrow...

That .45-70 Govt is a serious round, gets meat on both ends when shot! ;) :lol: It's not that bad. The ones I've shot kick less than a shotgun.
