Is my Peterson legit?
I purchased my one and only Pete brand new from Smokingpipes, about a decade ago. The model is the Irish Made army mount. The stamp on the metal is fine, but the stamp on the briar shank is very bad. the "IRISH MADE" part of the stamp looks like it was done two times, creating a double vis...

Dunhill Comeback!
I did not catch when these Dunhill blends will be back on the market. Does anybody know? The only Dunhill blend I'm interested in these days is Royal Yacht. I remember smoking a tin way back maybe a decade ago, and not liking it. But, maybe my tastes have changed since then, so I'm looking forward t...

SG Grousemoor....Thumbs Up or Down?
I got some Grousemoor drying out right now, next to a bit of Erinmore Flake. The Erinmore Flake is also a new blend I've been smoking. I'm not thrilled about the Erinmore Flake, but I really like the Erinmore Mixture. A thing about Erinmore Flake is that it is bland (at least in my pipes), but is st...

SG Grousemoor....Thumbs Up or Down?
Yesterday, I tried smoking some Grousemoor, transferred over to a mason jar since opening the tin. I was surprised when I could not keep it lit. The blend did not feel wet in my hands, but it was certainly too wet to smoke. Today, I let some dry out (couple hours or so) before smoking, which worked....

SG Grousemoor....Thumbs Up or Down?
Just started smoking this blend a few days ago. Very odd blend. Not sure what to make of it, yet. Will it mellow out in the mason jar, after a while?
I can't compare this to anything else I've smoked before. Trying it out in different pipes to see what works best.

Smoking GH Brown Twist Sliced in my 1 Dot Brigham straight bulldog.
I'm noticing that the Brigham brand is not making the bulldog in the 1 Dot to 3 Dot range anymore. I bought this pipe maybe 12 years ago in a fancy shop called Thomas Hinds in Toronto.

Beverage beside pipe
Water or cold cheap beer. Back when I used to smoke factory cigs, I loved the combo of cigs and a coffee. But, after I quit cigs, I would almost never smoke pipes with a coffee. It has stayed that way for several years now, since I quit cigs. Nowadays, I will drink a coffee before or after a pipe, b...
