If possible , stack your tins in a cabinet indoors [ climate controlled ] and you wont have issues . As far as the oil ... dont do it . The current spotting of rust on your tins isnt a big deal and they will be fine for many years

An Edwards pipe shop I hung out at back in the 80's had a blend named Loc Lomond . It wasnt an oriental blend but it was fabulous . Turns out its a blend only at that one store , not the chain .
