Re: What are you smoking Jan . 2019

After R/R match in the Falcon, I switched out bowls for one last smoke of Heine's; swilling tea all the while.

Re: What are you smoking Jan . 2019

In from work, and first thing I did was make an espresso, and fill a Calich reject with Heine's Blend. Good grief, what a day: the flu has laid waste to all my co-workers, and me too. But, if that's all I have to complain about, and it is, I'm doing just fine!

Phase one of waking up was espresso and a cig rolled from Drum. Starting phase two, which is MB Symphony in a Charatan pot with a pot of strong tea on the side.

Re: InFrom the Cold...

Thanks all. My future posts about my daily smokes might be a little monotonous: old favourites are all but unavailable. UK suppliers recently being unable to ship overseas was the last straw. So I have happily and gratefully settled down with a few blends by Mac Baren (Symphony!) and Sutliff; the la...

Re: Blends for a new pipe smoker?

@Dave , since you're in the UK, in keeping with Tsal's practical wisdom of trying blends readily available, might I recommend something like St.Bruno or Condor ready-rubbed? Mellow Virginia would be another good pick for a UK OTC. Your memories of tobacco smelling rich and slightly sweet, plus the f...

In From the Cold...

Hello again all!

After a break from forums, I thought I would re-enlist. It's surprising how few people out in the world get excited by pipe smoking.

Mat, from Toronto

PS, my days of sawing pipes in half are likely over.
