Re: WDC Triangle Bakelite Zulu Rescue

Good job, it looks really good.
Aren't those ruby bakelite stems something else?

Re: Lost and found

I wish I could find all the pipes that I've lost. I don't know if it would have stopped me from buying more, but maybe a little bit. I've spent a lot of money trying to replace one pipe in particular. I lost one that I still regret dropping in the heat of a moment. It's a long story. I'm not sorry ...

Re: All the Fixin's Basket Pipe

Hey, it "swiftly carry luxurious pipe tobacco smoke from the bowl to the palate, making the experience worth while" and it's "prestige and authentic." What more can be said? Lol. Made from rosewood. $21.99 (atm on sale). Description uses mangled English. Let me guess ........ Ma...

Re: Looking fir advice & opinions on pipe

That is an excellent price for a Savinelli in good shape & a root briar to boot!
If it's your desired style of pipe then I wouldn't hesitate. Grab it before someone else beats you to it.

Re: New pipes ......

Forgot to show an example of the Bruyere Garantie types that I've bought. Most don't have a makers mark.
This Skippy Prince Panel Bulldog is an exception. It's one of my favourites but as yet, I have not been game to light her up.

Re: New pipes ......

The last for today (Yep, there's a lot more to come, lol) My two attempts at buying estates to start a rotation didn't work out, so I decided to stick to buying new or professionally restored estates. But as these British metal pipes looked in reasonable condition, I figured they were a good lot to ...

https://i.imgur.com/drCrhGK.jpg https://i.imgur.com/CiR7jAz.jpg https://i.imgur.com/HZ6XMQG.jpg There's something about these old Hunter pipes. According to the German seller, these make great smokers. I'd missed two similar pipes (bloody snipers, grrrrr) so I put a decent high bid on this one. Got...

This is the 2nd lot of drilled stummels from the 1930-40's that I won. Again, they were ridiculously cheap.
Guess I'm going to have to learn how to make stems. (Or if someone would like to trade a care package of tobacco for some 80-90yo stummels, send me a PM)

Re: New pipes ......

https://i.imgur.com/N1kDrLI.jpg Here's the 'systems' pipe from the 1920's. It hasn't arrived yet & I'm looking forward to checking it out. It deserves to be in a pipe museum. I wasn't that interested in it but it was going too cheap (that's my excuse & I'm sticking to it) At $14.50usd it's ...
