I really enjoy cooked cabbage . . . During my tenure in Ireland in the early 90's, the family I stayed with (Mrs.) would often cook Cabbage Stew. This stew would progress through the week as leftovers were added; generally, fish of some type. Served in a bowl over stale soda bread it was delicious....

It's kind of complicated. Core a cabbage, half it, slice into strips, toss in a medium hot pan with some olive oil (or bacon grease if you have some), seasonings of choice, maybe some diced onion, garlic, bacon, whatever floats your boat.
