Re: Desert Island OTC

Rose Geranium is not nearly represented enough in the states. My palate is geared towards flavors similar to black coffee or flowers.

Re: Desert Island OTC

Not much choice here I'll have to choose St Bruno, as though I like Condor it's not something I can smoke all day. now there's a blend I wish I could get in the states....I've only had a sample of condor thanks to @Thelonious monkfish and it was spectacular. Also wish we had Mick McQuaid GH Bosun F...

Re: Musical instrument stuff

Many many years ago I used one of 5 prototype SansAmp Bass Drivers. That box gave me such an amazing tone. The best Direct Box ever made. They were bulletproof too, mine walked off years ago... f'ing musicians... eventually I got one of the newer ones, VT model, it's Ampeg and Sansamp in one. Great...

Re: Desert Island OTC

Folks, You can only smoke one blend for the rest of your days. Not only that, but you can only smoke an OTC tobacco. What's it going to be? I say Half and Half. I'm just going to suggest you really need to add some Perique to that Half and Half. It's great and I don't really care for Half and Half.

Re: Desert Island OTC

I could smoke Irish Condor without tiring, just thinking about it brings the smell to mind. Haven't had new CH so unsure if I could all day it, same with new PA, the big tubs sure. SWRA is the choicest of the drugstore blends to me though, again, not sure if it's been changed. Honestly, I haven't bo...

Re: Musical instrument stuff

I need a new bass amp. I like simple, no fluff amps. If I can't dial in my tone with the bass, mid, and treble knobs, then I've got a problem. I don't want anything too crazy; I'm not playing Madison Square Garden. Any recommendations? Practice amp or amp head? Either way Ampeg and tubes are always...

Re: Musical instrument stuff

I can't speak to current quality but I have Monster cables that must be twenty years old, I'm surprised but my plan all those years ago was not to have cables crap out on me, they were costly but I've literally not purchased a cable since. More money for strings. Those briefcase style stands are gre...

I am going to assume Father Tom is a Zippo user and loads tobacco to the rim and then some.

My bowls are often overflowing and the residue wants to build in a hurry. I stay on top of cleaning it, Father Tom views it as protection.

Re: What's for Breakfast?

I really dont consume any caffiene at all. No soda. Nothing. So I have no tolerance. I never needed it. It always made me feel like crap. I just wake up and go. Never had any issues in the morning You can remove most of the caffeine from any tea in under a minute, use just enough water to cover the...

Twinings decaf Breakfast and green teas taste pretty similar to the regular ones I think. They do use chemicals to decaffeinate it though. Naturally decaffeinated tea isn't as tasty, but is chemical free.
Back in the day people used benzene to decaffeinate beans.
