Seems like a new cut would result in a different burn rate and possible change in flavor.

Both still taste the same? Does this have to do with their new "color" versions?

I third the Savinelli choice.
They are reasonably priced, well made, smoke GREAT, and come in every shape that you could possibly want.
They smoke fantastic with or without the balsa filters.

My first pipe was a Grabow, and one of my current favorites is an estate Regal adjustomatic Author/Prince that I just love. Thanks for your work for the community.

Orange all the way, followed by cherry. Didn't care for chocolate, wasn't sweet enough.

You need a new poll, do you work your way down to the tootsie pop before you chew, or do you go halfway and then bite down on candy and soft center??
