Re: How to clean a 2nd hand pipe.
It really depends on the condition of the pipe when you get it. Best case, you can just clean the inside of the stem and shank with your chosen alcohol until the pipe cleaners come out clean. Then carefully wipe the oustide of the stem taking care to avoid any nomenclature that might have paint on ...

Re: Petersons
As I only have one Peterson I'm no expert but I love it. It's a Calabash. Mine also has the same issue. It must be said that I don't smoke a pipe in a conventional manner. Usually I load just enough for several puffs for my nicotine hit & put it down. Before bed I clean the 'plug' at the bottom,...

How to clean a 2nd hand pipe.
While fooling around on the laptop last week, I bid on a Capstan briar for $11 with a max bid of $12.50. I'm now the (soon to be) proud owner of a 2nd hand pipe. The condition looked ok but the pics were a bit grainy. How to I clean & prepare it? I noticed a member mentioned that he soaks his pi...

Nice Peterson.
A Calabash just feels right in the hand for me. Though I do like the look of those short stubby straights with a thick shank.

I'm fortunate that I'm able to fashion a filter from a RYO cig filter for my Peterson.

I wont smoke anything but a filtered pipe.
It's not that my brain doesn't like nicotine (loves it) it's that my body can't handle it.

Re: A run down on the MB 7 Seas line
That's a handy review Ruff. I've got a 100g tin of 7 Seas Red on the way. Sounds nice.
I also ordered a 100g tin of 7 Seas Royal Blend. Both sounded rather tasty.
