Thanks for clearing that up.
I Just Don't Love ODF
Imagine what Parodi could do with pipe tobacco........houtenziel wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 4:42 pm ODF wasn't ever one of my favorites either. Actually there are very few blends containing Kentucky that really do it for me. Kentucky has a dominance to it, and it can come off as somewhat acrid to me if there isn't a good amount of Virginia to offset that with sweetness. PS Amsterdam and Newminster Superior Round Slices are two that hit the button.
Weirdly enough, I love all those Italian Kentucky dry cured cigars(Parodi, Avanti, etc).. who knows why that is.
I don't think I've ever smoked any ODF. A name like that would stick in my mind though the tin art never would. "Which was the ODF? The brown one?"
Actually, it's not that great a name. I've probably forgotten if I have tried it. I don't smoke a lot of flakes, though, so I probably would remember it for that reason, at least.
If someone calls your mother an old dark flake in my neighborhood, those are fighting words. Somebody is either going to detention or jail. Old Dark Fired? Big whoop. What does that mean? Parodi would have called it something else, with five or six names, probably, and in five or six differently designed tins so that you'd think you were buying something different every time.
My favorites are Kentucky Cheroots. I don't buy any other Parodi cigar anymore.
yeah I'm DGT'ing JKP now after dinner, and while I like it, I don't really love it either. I think I'm more prone to like Burley with condimental amounts of Kentucky
I hope our names are touching on the watch list

Many/most would disagree with you
I am not one
It is as popular as a blend can get
Not my cup of tea either

Try a Parodi. They're good.sisyphus wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 3:04 pm I know this is a popular tobacco. Every time I smoke it I think it's not bad, but I'd rather be smoking HH Burley Flake or Amphora Burley instead. For something more stout I'd rather go straight to JKP or 1792. I probably do need more 1792 than I have.
ODF is good but I just never get excited about it when I smoke a bowl. More for you guys.

It is pricey, but I do like it enough that it could be my all-day smoke, and I would not feel deprived.Whalehead King wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 5:44 pmI was going to ask if anyone here is a fan. I should have known the answer.
