C&D makes wonderful tobacco in other genres outside the typical Burley forward blends. I've worked my way through just a smidge of their offerings, but their English varieties work for me much better than some others. Their balkans are great too.
Can someone recommend a Burley variety that's on the sweeter side of C and D?

I have a healthy cellar (may last me the rest of my life) and I can say this. There are only a handful of blends that I detest so if my house went up in flames, there will always be a tobacco that I can find comfort in. If there isn't, then the bottom has truly fallen and our personal choices and freedoms have probably disappeared as well.

Actually C&D produces even more. They churn out C&D, Pease, Two Friends, Captain Earl's, Briarworks, and also the Low Country stuff
Yes , I think they're under the lundisi umbrella
Yup. From the outside looking in laudisi seems to be carrying a big stick and making a lot of smart moves. I don't see them faltering anytime soon.

True, good things seem to be happening in South Carolina.

Yep! Haven't had a lot of it, but what I've had I really enjoyed. It's a good bulk black Cavendish
