I’ve done it short term with no noticeable difference. By short term I mean a couple months but I was opening the jar and pouches routinely taking tobacco out.

I've had a "sample jar" with various bagged tobaccos in it for quite a while and haven't noticed any ill effects or cross contamination of flavor.

I now have three different Stokkebye Virginias in the same jar. I like to live on the edge...
