I have an old buffet from my grandma's house in my dining room that my pipe racks and tobacco sit on, I load there. The height is taller than a table, like a bar, so it's perfect. I generally put out whatever I'm smoking about an hour before I load, unless it's an SG flake and then they may sit for 3-4 hours before loading, they're pretty wet.

I load directly from pouch to pipe at work, when I'm home it's the same but from the jar or tin. The only time I need a surface is to slice rope and for that task I have a small wooden cutting board in the shape of NJ.

I use this mallard tray I found at a flea market for $1.00

The extra tobacco follows the tail section right back into the jar/tin.

I use the palm of my hand if I am not loading from a pouch or a pound bag.
Me too.

Thanks!

You know, I bought the duck and didn’t even know what I was going to do with it, but hey, it was only a buck.

That’s the PSF2014POY Invicta and the PSF2015 Meer tamper in the pic.

MacBaren blends ... perfect out of the tin , just saying . They are the packaging masters

If I'm home I use my kitchen counter. It's always clean ( mostly ) and if I don't want to bother with the bits ... the trash is rtight there in a swipe
