Who knows how long these Parodis have been sitting on the shelf? Luckily, being dry-cured, they are essentially indestructible----just don't drop one. That's why I squirreled them away someplace safe. The last thing I want is to drop these machine-made cigars and end up like Burgess Meredith in that Twilight Zone episode.

That was a great episode. He also did another called obsolete, I believe ... it was excellent

Yesterday , I had a King Edward special . I do like them much

I had a White Lightning Crook last night, paired with a couple of margaritas. All were excellent!

I smoke Parodi because I'm too hard on those Kentucky Cheroots. 5 of 6 break in half, anyway. But they are the bee's knees. How do you keep them whole??
Yep.

I order them by the box of 50 and keep them in the box until it's time to smoke one.

Yeah, I'm a regular Mr. Spock.

I ordered a fresh box yesterday. I'm desperate for some KY cheroots. If I hadn't found those forgotten Parodis when I took down the cigar box museum, I wouldn't have been reminded how much I love that Parodi flavor. Due to arrive some day next week.

Dry-cured Italian cigars are like catnip to me.

I buy Parodi by the box and then pop them into wide mouth jars for the long haul, because gov't. Maybe it's just that I never have KY Cheroots these days, but they are tasty in all the correct ways. I'll have to try that keep them in the box thing 😉

There is no reason to jar Parodis. These dry-cured cigars are like cockroaches, They'll outlast anything. They don't need special treatment or TLC. Pick one up off a shelf that's been sitting there for seven years, and it will smoke as good as the one purchased off any drug store counter. ----Just don't drop it!

Parodi ought to print that on every box. "Just don't drop it!"
