I know you fellows in the great frozen north won't believe it, but spring is about to be upon us & I just spotted one of the first signs today.

FWIW I, and many others, call this flower "Buttercups". It's probably the first flower of the spring to bloom.

Walk it in your yard and look closely for tiny white flowers. I can’t recall the name right now, but those beat the buttercups and henbit to the bloom race this year where I’m at. We’ve also seen lots of “public enemy number two” (Bradford pear) flowering in the tree line. Time to sharpen the axe and shovel boys. It’s green season!

Ruffinogold here is what we call day lilies. It's a completely different animal.

Wildcrow. Do the Bradford Pears in the Treeline have thorns about 2-3in long? If so they're what the seed of the real Bradford Pear produces. They're everywhere here in N Alabama.

This is pretty much the weather here as well. I am not seeing many signs of spring.
