Yay, I did it, finally! Lol.

The above is the 1920's Muhlensiepen Echt Bruyere sitter.
There was quite a bit of competition for this one. After missing out on a similar pipe by a sniper I put a hefty high bid on it (Same sniper missed by a country mile) but I think it was worth it & I'm very happy to own it.

Only received this last week & haven't lit her up yet but I'll give a report when I do.

A full-bent Hunters pipe with a horn stem.
Unbranded. The maker is fairly sure it was made in Germany for the German market.

This auction followed the Muhlensiepen pipe. Expecting heavy bidding & more snipers I put a hefty high bid & was delighted that it was basically ignored.
The auction ended in the wee hours so I left my high bid & hoped for the best. The next morning I was delighted to see that I won it for $18.20usd. :clap:

A 1970'S rusticated UTOR Churchwarden made by Uwe Thormann (Looks more blasted than rusticated to my eye)
It has a really slender acrylic mouth piece that looks so much better than the chunky mouth piece on my Savinelli warden.

Those are some seriously nice pipes. That second one is fantastic. I am not sure I could convince myself to smoke it :)

Thanks. These pipes look even better than the pics suggest & yes, I've yet to light up any of the antique pre 50's pipes.
As you'll see I've bought quite a few (figuring that there wont be many opportunities to buy brand new antique pipes) & my bank balance is very low ... but what the hell, it's only money.

I'll be buying a cabinet to display the best examples in the new year when finances recover (If I can only stay away from ebay) & many will probably never be smoked .... by me at least.

Here's another 1930-40's Cavalier, described as a 'Hunter pipe'.
There was quite a bit of competition for the Cavaliers & sitters. I was sniped on a similar pipe so I put a decent high bid on this one.

There's an e-bay seller with a very similar contemporary model going for $59usd (I'll give the seller if anyone's interested)
A Cavalier was at the top of my wanted list. Had I not won my 2 Cavaliers, I probably would've bought this one;
