Tried SRPT last night and it's missing something...not sure what but it gave me an idea to try my hand at blending with it as I have 2 pounds of it!

Ordered from smokingpipes:
8oz Granulated Perique
8oz Chopped Cigar Leaf
1lb Pegasus (because this stuff is good and want more!)
There was a guy on the Grabow forum at one point who liked it with cigar leaf.
Tom, was it SPRT or Perique they mixed with cigar leaf? I recall a 50:50 blend of Perique and cigar leaf from one of the members, they haven't been active in a while.
Don't know if I'd like a 50:50 mix of Perique and cigar leaf but I'd try a bowl on a dare!

I am pretty sure it was Troy who mixed the SPRT with cigar leaf. I think I remember perique with PA. I tried to search and mostly came up empty.

It was Steverino with the Perique/cigar

Found a recipe Troy provided that uses Picayune too

With a little more digging it might turn up.

My memory might be faulty too. I do remember how much he liked the SPRT and the variations on it.

I think I'll try a small batch of this and let you guys know how it goes. Kinda stolen from Steverino...
50% SPRT
30% cigar leaf
20% Perique

He made a few converts, to that and Low Country. I recall he gave up Granger as he couldn't reconcile the price difference.

I can't remember if I tried Low Country before he did or if he made me decide to try it. I do remember he was a fan.

Got a few tins to add to my stash.
One of the best, if not the best, under the radar blends.

This week I ordered GH Brown Flake Licquorice and I got notice that a shipment that customs turned away because of not entirely truthful labelling is coming my way again. Fingers crossed for the wandering parcel: it's got some Smoker's Pride in there!
