Some comments/complaints about the Lakeland taste. Not mentioned in the tin description.
The tin note is cocoa.
Gets great reviews, but some really do not like it.
I like it, a lot.
I wonder how it compares to Louisiana Flake which also has a cocoa topping from GH

I get zero Lakeland, just quality Va/Per with a hint of cocoa. Was hoping for rose or geraniun or something else in the mix.

I have been on a Stonehenge kick of late
Interested to see what you think about it
Was expecting a Lakeland, or something reminiscent of one. It's a nice Va/Per but not what I was after. Is this normal? Stores here are a crap shoot, sometimes you get a well aged tin, sometimes one that sat on a shelf 8 feet from the door that opens to the outside x many times per day with temps swinging below zero to over 100 and no humidity at all to air that flows like water. This one seems a little dry and has no topping to speak off.
Interesting. I've heard a few times that it has a bit of that Lakeland magic going on with it
I have a tin open right now. The Lakeland thing is there in mine. it is on the mild end of the mild-medium range, but it is there for sure.

I was surprised the first time I hit it with a flame. Lakeland. Not mentioned on the tin or any description I ever read, not in the tin note, but there it be. But it is minimal. No doubt about it.
Still, as a non-Lakeland smoker, this works, for me. Just a nice GLP blend by Gawith. The quality is there. A VaPerBur with cocoa and a hint of the GW sauce.

Many reviewers say it is the same thing with some Burley. I cannot say as I have not had the Louisiana Flake, but now I want to try it.

Well, this may be another one of those blends I swear off based on getting a bum tin from a local shop. Not even the faintest suggestion of Lakeland and only slightly more cocoa than that. Maybe my senses have been bludgeoned from consuming kilos of Grasmere and Ennerdale. It sounds good in reviews but this tin is a let down, hard to support local stores when paying premium prices for poorly stored goods. I might actually like Kendal Cream and many others too but never bothered again due to junk tins. There's one store I won't buy any from, everything is dust and a tin of SG runs over $20.

P&C is having a sale, 25% off cigars. It works for other stuff too though...
Pound of Ann. Kake, another pound of SPRT, sample pound of Mellow Taste, and a tin of Blood Red Moon to get free shipping. Not bad for under sixty bucks.
