After completing a perfect 15 - 0 season and winning the National Championship, the LSU QB and his teammates lit up victory cigars. Why not? They deserved it. Well, It's a crime to smoke in the Superdome and one New Orleans police officer felt like it was his duty to enforce the law. Actually the law imposes a $50 fine, but this particular cop said that they could be subject to arrest, Can you imagine the scene at the jail if he had actually followed through with his threat? "What you in for, kid?" "Smoking a cigar after winning the natty!"

Burrow ignored the threats and continued with his cigar even through the press conference. Congratulations, young man! Smoke em if you got em!

The general thought by a sportscaster over in Huntsville is that the Cop got to thinking about the future of his employment, his benefits, etc and made the executive decision to overlook the cigar smoking :D

 Remember the NOPD cops that broke into Sewell Cadillac to steal Escalades to patrol the flooded city in Katrina's aftermath? Or the ones that broke into the jewelry stores on Canal St to steal Rolex watches during the same time?

I would hate to be the New Orleans cop who arrested Joe Burreauxs! My nephew quit his job with the Jefferson Parish Sheriffs office after things he saw during Katrina. But Joe B. could shoot 10 people on Bourbon Street and get away with it.
God and Texas!
