In 1906, the Massachusetts Board of Health banned all deviled meats, except Underwood's, from sale in Massachusetts.

Not to veer too far off topic, but prepare to have your mind rocked by the history of Underwood, a company as old as Necco. No wonder I like it:

Now back to discussing the joys of white bread.....

Liverwurst.

The good stuff you get at a German market. Not the crap from the supermarket.

Stone ground mustard, no stinking mayo!

Why, oh, why, loaf of white bread, do keep me waiting for you until I go through the check-out counter?
I may be climbing rainbows thinking about you.

You may be wondering what this song is leading to.
I want to make a sandwich with you.... and spread you with potted meat.
[Don't quote this line in a single's bar!]

The world's most innocuously named band, ladies and germs:

The one, the only, the incomparable.....BREAD!!!!!!!

I'm packing a bowl with an sweet aro and puffing away to these easy grooves. Yeah, white bread, I'll definitely be thinking of you.... I think we could really make it good and see it through....

Guess what I found when I was walking the dog in the park this morning! You don't have to guess. I took a snapshot.

Someone was feeding the ducks in the big lake with----Bunny Bread.

That's what I said: Bunny Bread.

PSA- Don't feed bread to ducks.

It jacks up their digestive system.

Which means poor quality foie gras.

Foie gras on a triangle of white bread toast. That's better than caviar on toast.

White bread, because of its mild consistency and unobtrusive flavor, is the perfect accompaniment for rich toppings. Foie gras and caviar are good on whole wheat or a triscuit, but the platform par excellence is a toasted triangle of simple white bread. Ask any gourmand. They'll tell you the same thing.

Another empty Bunny Bread wrapper. This time outside the gate at Oktoberfest in New Orleans. I guess someone wanted to load up on white bread before they loaded up on German beer.

That's what I said: Bunny Bread.

Mrs. King informed me today that she has an errand to run in New Orleans East, a part of the city we rarely visit, and she asked if I wanted to accompany her.

"Are we going to Downman Road?" I asked.

"Yes," she said.

Bonus! I'm in!! Get read for some photos of the Bunny Bread Bakery!!!!

I know this is what everyone has been waiting for. Stay tuned. Tomorrow promises to be an excellent day.
