I've been eyeballin' an 1851 Navy, so this thread is topical.. Kevin Keith, You pretty satisfied with the build on the Pietta? I have been going back and forth between them and Uberti.. or Possibly the CImarron(which I think is built for them by Uberti). The internet forum gun snobs say Pietta's have some fit and finish issues, but I am not sure if this is legit. What say you?

I have both Pietta and Uberti pistols and am very happy with both brands. You're right, Cimarron gets their guns from Uberti. You can't go wrong with a .36 Navy!

Mr Hout I've owned a Pietta 1858 Remington for about 5 years. It has around 200 rounds through it without any issues at all. From a rest at about 35 yards it'll group around 2 inches for 3 shots. I'm very happy with it.

I am sure I will love it. I had no intention of buying one today, but I stopped in a local shop that specializes in BP and Surplus trying to find 9x18Mak, and then got to talking about revolvers with the Owner. He started handing them to me, and I walked out fully set up, and honestly not much poorer for it. I gotta say, black powder is economical if nothing else.

In 1968, my high school, located in The Bronx, NYC.... had a rifle team! We were allowed to bring our rifles, to school...with no problems.

I mourn the countless freedoms that this country has lost.... and I'm heart-sickened by the fear, the reality, of what's coming.
