This makes me happy. I can't think of a better caretaker for the historic line of Marlin rifles than Ruger. I've been looking at 1895s, now I'll hold off and see what develops.

PSA got the ARs
PSA with their ARs and AKs are making a move with their score from the BK sell-off

Their stuff is ok...dunno... when it comes to ARs I look no further than Windham Weaponry with the original Bushmaster crew.

I think I'd have to go with a M249. High rate of fire, but way more controllable than an M60. I still take an AK platform over either.. but I like commie guns.

As far as Ruger goes.. I kind of have mixed feelings given my latest experiences with them cutting corners on some things. That said, I am not sure there really is anyone else that would have done Marlin justice.

well I love my Ruger single action so much within a week of getting it I went out and bought a Ruger double action. In all aspects except for trigger I find them superior to my Smith & Wesson. It made me look at their whole line, and I think a Ruger bolt action is in my near future. Bill Ruger was a real gun guy. Never been much of a fan of their semis, but the revolvers are aces.

If Ruger produces a Marlin 1894 in 41 magnum with an octagon barrel there will be one at my house as soon as my FFL can get one.
