You can always cup up an egg carton and put it on the seat next to you.

That's not going to fit my vigorous driving style BR.

Smoking pipes sells one that sticks to the dash.

It all depends on the car really. There is usually a place to stick one that is reasonably stable. I tend to smoke straight pipes in the car, and it would be unusual to take it out of my mouth UNLESS I am reloading or switching to another pipe. When switching to another pipe, I need to remember to dump ashes in the previous one. Almost invariably if I don't, I will hit a pothole or something and they will get dumped on the floor.

I like to keep the pipe in my mouth too but I often find it dangerously close to flying out on a turn.
I'm sure I shall figure a solution.
Thanks all.

Hmm, I've always smoked a bent when driving.

This topic may require further consideration.

In 2016 I was involved in a high speed collision with some high nut with no insurance on the interstate resulting in me T-boning the car at 70mph. I was smoking a bent pipe when the airbag went off knocking it out of my mouth. Had I been smoking a straight pipe it definitely would have punctured my esophagus.
