Good afternoon all,
Recently I purchased my first pipe, a Peterson Killarney. Everyone here was great in giving advice so now I’m looking for more advice. (Really, it’s YOUR fault... it’s like feeding a stray cat...) anyway, I want to buy a new pipe and I’m looking for recommended makers. I’d like to stay under $200 for a good pipe.

Thanks in advance.

Rob

Well, I can't seem to post links. It's on smoking pipes.

Well, that shouldn't be difficult. $200 could probably get you two good pipes. The science is in on angles and airhole measurements, so even lesser expensive pipe producers like Dr Grabow can churn out good smokers. That being said, I have no qualms with shelling out $100 or more on a Chacom pipe if it's not ugly. Tobaccopipes.com seems to be a the best source for good-looking Chacom pipes.

I agree, an estate from Smoking Pipes is a good way to go
Ready to smoke
15% off this weekend
The pipe Thelonious Monkfish picked is a good one
I like my Ser Jacopos but, I like my Rinaldos more
You can get a nice esrate pipe in the $160 range
Example, just got these Rinaldos for $153 and $160
I also like the nice pre 1980 GBDs for around $70

I'll wholeheartedly recommend you look up Neal Monier (garagemadepipetool on Instagram) and get something hand made. Also Norm Triptow. Neal will do anything from Danish craziness to traditional with a twist. Norm tends toward the more traditional shapes. Either one will get you a helluva pipe and enough coin left to get some tobacco to load into it

I forget about them, were it not for the fact that SP does trade in credit there would be far fewer nice pipes here, not to mention tobacco. One day I'll have more than $40 in hand long enough to spend it on one of theirs before another bill hits. Already have countless commissions in mind for when I never strike it rich.
