I am not sure I'd call what you do "words", WK... perhaps verbal manifestations of the soul.

Jaysus, that's all the companionship you'll ever need!

And welcome to the forum. Give my best to the mythical crature.. I mean the missus.
Yes she is all I'll ever need. I've already had my practice wife many years ago (and still paying!) so I know what I'm doing this time. She's a big Cult Blood Red Moon fan but she puts up with my Squadron Leader as we sit around the wood stove smoking, sipping whisky and telling stories. I had Brandon Brooks carve her a Rhodesian pipe and he did an awesome job to the point she won't smoke with anything else. Life is good for me now after a long time of it being very, very bad my friends!

As requested here is my collection in total if I figured out the image upload properly. I sell some and buy some if I can find the right pipe at the right price but I am still learning the ropes on estate pipes so I am taking my time.

I feel for you cost-wise
But it sounds like you and your wife are off to a great start.
I wish I knew a way around your heavy costs.
How hard is it to drive to the U.S,. And make it back across the border???
I assume some uber-high sanction is possible/probable making that a no-go and I would never suggest skirting the tax-man.
I do know that there are many pipe smokers in Canada.
A trip to Blatter and Blatter would be cool.
