Stonehaven(with many thanks to Brother Beardsley) in the SP Bulldog. I didn't like this blend when I first tried it a couple years ago. It seems my tastes have changed though, as I find it to be very delicious.

Nice MM MT . . . I have always found the cobs with red coloring in them such as yours tend to smoke sweeter.

Something I do as well is to round the top slightly with sandpaper to keep the kernel locations from fraying.

Looks like you have a nearby friend also. One of God's greatest creatures!

I had two bowls of Big-n-Burley in the Silver Duke pot that never got posted. I am home now and am having a bowl of OJK in a Starfire pot. It has been a long day without enough opportunities to smoke.

Stonehaven is a funny creature in the tobacco world. I've had bowls that are amazing and bowls that were blah and average at best. Have to say that I was probably pretty lucky that the first bit of it I was given was pretty much dried to smoking level, or at least a level I liked, so I had a reference point.

I think I prefer stonehaven's pretty sister (Germain's rich dark flake) by just a hair but I don't have friends in Europe to supply me so it's a non-factor

Funny you mention the sweetness. There is a distinct sweet odor present on the outside of the bowl.

I love my briars, but this little $9 pipe is giving all of them a beating!
