It was fun while it lasted but it's a young man's game. My last fist fight I was 50 years old and the bad guy wasn't even 30 yet. It was time to go. I like naps and smoking better. lol

Yeah, that part of the job I can understand but I was referring to the knucklehead drivers getting caught and their long list of excuses. Lol.
50 vs 30? That pipe smoking got the best of you! Lol

SP Cherry in a MM Missouri Pride, black coffee. 25 degrees outside, so that was a very short smoke, I'll DGT it later on. I can't take the cold like I once could!

A year ago December for the first time I had a guy give me more than I could handle in a fist fight. It was sobering to realize I was no longer invincible and it made me feel old. That and a current administration that does not have the officer's back, and well now I try to talk my way through most problems. I've gotten in a couple fights since then and was successful, but that one time really made me aware that I have limitations now. I gotta put in 4-5 more years before I can hang it up. I had a good run, I was almost 53 before I realized I'd gotten old.
I hope our names are touching on the watch list

It's gotta be better than a clay stem. Keep us informed how you like it. I'm looking at reed clays right now. I'm not against a reed stem.
I would pick a reed over a clay stem, for sure. I've off and on considered a clay and have always liked the looks of those with vulcanite stems, like these Civil War reproductions.
Or the ones like are for sale at Pipes & Cigars.
