the US is full of namesakes from across the pond

For sure but for a Greek like me was a pleasant surprise when i learn that some people thousand miles away named their own town with that name and designed an insignia like this.
They don't know me and i will never visit their place but i feel the obligation to thank them and send them the warmest greetings.
