I just finished a bowl in my Norm Poker pipe , which hot me thinking . I don't have many poker pipes . Two traditional , I believe , and one thats pretty much a poker but not .

I really enjoy a poker sitting at the table on my porch , i do . But I don't like clenching a poker or walking around with one , so I dont need many , but it would be as drag not to have one

Anyway , I realize my thought is kind of flighty , but here are somne shapes that are common enough but not everyone has one in their collection , I'm assuming

1. Poker

2.Volcano

3.Church Warden

4. Figurial

5. Full bent

Maybe I'm just simple . The shape most represented in my stash is a damn billiard . Having these other " unique " common shapes makes for an interesting collection , if for any reason a changeup .

I mean , smoking a church warden is really a cool smoke .. figuratively and literally

A volcano is just a damn trip . They're wild without being too wild , imho

Figurials are just awesome , especially a briar one because it's a lot if work and rareish

A full bent because .. I don't know ... It's as bent as you can get , i guessImage

I like billiards when I’m sitting enjoying my pipe. Seem to fit my hand nicely and straight stem seems to line up nicely. For clinching bent stems are the way to go for me. I have a couple of Dr Grabow Omegas that are my favorite for keeping my hands free. Cobs for when I’m working or outdoors and don’t care about banging my pipe around. None of my pipes are expensive. Just me but I’d rather spend my money on tobacco :)

I prefer cherrywoods over pokers simply because the tend to be smaller and easy to clench.

I like my billiards the most but if I ever buy another pipe it will be a pickaxe.

You took the word out of my mouth.

I think everyone should have a billiard and a pot. I will admit a fondness for pokers and bulldogs.

My father smoked almost exclusively billiards. There was a bent billiard he was very fond of. He had exactly one poker as far as I remember. It would have been a promo freebie with two pouches of H&H or SWR back in the day.
