Clays are cool ! I used to get a dozen assorted shapes from Lane or FGT for the shop . I thi k they retailed for 8 or 10 bucks . Some had faces , others a design or just smooth . They do get hot as hell if you hold the bowl and that's something you'll do only once , unless your into that kind of thing
That dawn mist chic in England makes some killer clays ! I like a clay to be glazed at the tip , so that it doesn't stick to you lip . I know you can put wax on the tip but I dig glazed . Not all are glazed of course and she make period correct clays and also has antique clays
Currently she has some loch Ness monster clays in stock . She's really a trip

I really like my teeth.
I also tend to to clench.
No clay pipes for me.
I don't want to end up with dentch.

That's the one I'm smoking now. For the price, we don't have any reason to complain. It smokes cool and dry----the bowl gets hot but the smoke is cool and dry on the other end.
