Sportsman Kit

Plus, the 'distillator system' concept is setting off my insufferable filter sensors!

I have debated buying one of those Brigham System pipes, thinking that the maple distillators might work a lot like the porous birch shank of a cob.
Apparently the distillators will even pass a pipe cleaner(or so they say). I have to say, the sort of rough hewn look of those Sportsman pipes really does it for me.

Huh! I'm surprised you, of all people, don't already have a Brigham.

Now made in Italy instead of across town, (mis)using the old, storied name "Sportsman" that brings back fond memories; this sets off my crotchety old guy sensors!

I've got one of these Italian Sportsmen. I don't think the maple filter makes it better than any other filter pipe I own.

That's how I ended up with a Keyser Hygienic and a Butz-Choquin made Hurricane pipe; once in awhile, something comes along that I just have to own.
