I've been looking all over tarnation for the ad that shows a ski jumper in mid-flight smoking a billiard.

Thanks, KK. That one is cool, but it's not the one I have in mind.

The one I'm looking for is a full color illustration. It is similar to this one, but the guy is athletic and he's in classic ski jump pose with his arms behind his back.

Looking through my archives, I found this Model tobacco ad from 1942 with another sailor and some specific slang nonsense about making a pipe slug-nutty. I guess it's.....good?

Dutch is wearing white shoes. It must be before Labor Day. He looks so impossibly young!

It appears I have been saving screen capture ads for 20 years just for the opportunity to post them here. Here is a great ad with a wonderful sentiment.

Here's a 1944 Van Roy pipes ad. Van Roy! Because evidently shooting guns is better with a pipe! I guess everything is better smoking a pipe. I still have some Van Roy Magic Cake pipes around here somewhere. I bought them because I thought the model name was interesting. Pretty good smoking pipes!

One more for today. We've seen the Jimmy Pipe or pipes as it were. Here we have the Billy Pipe from 1923. Looks pretty good! I'd like to have one.
