Fish n chips again, today, to be followed by some Coke and a nice long smoke.

Do you dunk your fish in malt vinegar?
This photo makes me think of this.

No we just sprinkle some on , once on the plate, the same with the salt. The batter is just 240g plain flour, 3 tsp baking powder and 270 ml cold water. Dip the fish in, then fry for 9-10 min in 1 inch sunflower oil, turning midway. Makes good chicken nugget batter too.

I can't see the clip as it says it's not available in our region.

Had to go to the chemists as Mum's got a nasty cold (it's not COVID, according to the kit). Whilst there, I visited the butcher and aquired he ingredients for a proper butty!

Speaking of canned fish, I had Brunswick brand boneless sardine filets in olive oil with saltines. I am trying to trap a stray cat so I bought them for bait. They were the cheapest brand at $2.39 a can. They were good. I didn't need a whole can for bait so I ate the whale's share.

You live in New Orleans and prefer that nasty tinned fish for a snack. There must be better options. :barf:
