I want to try C&D Big n Burley at some point. Been hesitant becauss of the Latakia. But Latakia has grown on me. Not in English style blends. But in Burley blends. Latakia has its place thats for sure. But in English Blends it dominates the flavor. Some are done very well. Like Northwoods and SPC Plum Pudding Special Reserve.

Latakia is awesome when done " right " [ for me at least ] . I love the " American English " stuff too . Im curently smoking some old Middletons Walnut . IRC does latakia wonderfully .... and in aromatics as well , go figure .Piping Abe wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 9:06 pm I want to try C&D Big n Burley at some point. Been hesitant becauss of the Latakia. Anyway , on the thought of Latakia , one English styled blend Id like to try is Dans London Blend . I only see it offered in 100 grams , sadly . But I figure Dan does so many things so well , that it might be an English I would like , but who knows .. I havent tried it yet
If anyone had some open , Id trade for it , Im not into paying 30 bucks for 100 grams of something I may not like

Years ago I bought a tin or two of something new when I’d place an order for stuff I liked. I’ve got a bunch of tins that have been sitting for several years. One day I’m going to start popping them open. Problem is a good many are McClelland blends so if I fall in love it’ll be a short romance.
