It really is an insanely underappreciated blend. And even though it's a Sutliff manufactured blend, it's unlike anything else I've had from them, by far.

I think most of the irc blends are made by sutliff but the recepies are from back in the day and are pretty well the same, from what I can recall . Heck , they may have been made by sutliff forever ... it wasn't something I would have asked about in the 80's .
I think I copy pasted an irc thread from the old psf that gives a nutshell run down on their line . I'll just have to get my laptop charged to get to it. It isn't charging well and I've been using a tablet for Some time . Anyway , their " flavor profile " is truly their own and they incorporate latakia , in small doses , in many of their blends .. even aromatics . They do it in such a way as to make it where the lat doesn't come off as lat but more just somehow add to the roundness of the blends flavor ... if that makes sense

I remember Sail Green was a mild aro that had some condimental latakia. I wonder if his was more common at one time?

I'm not exactly sure what happened with the European manufacturers. It seems to me that in the time period when they had to change their labeling for both the US and EU markets it threw a wrench into the works and their shipping has slowed way down

I need to add two to my list:

Upland Day is an aro from a B&M in Huntsville, AL and my favorite straight aro.

Lane HGL - Father Tom hooked me on this and it’s one I hope to never be without.

I think in the surprisingly large aro_with_latakia category, HGL is probably the best I have tried.
