My sincere condolences man. I have a father in law that I respect greatly. He is the only one of our parents still alive. I feel for you.

My parents were almost from a different generation from the in-laws. They married late, and my father served in WWII. My parents both died in the 1990s.My in-laws married (very) young,and my MIL was a German who immigrated to the US after the war as a child.

It's tough when we lose the good ones. It sounds like your FIl was a wonderful man.
