You know you have them . If youre like me at all, you've got certain blends jarred and aging ... or a tin that you enjoy but haven't popped. Yet . What do you say about contemplating it this week and come this weekend ... bust one open ! Hell , we should be thankful if we're here next weekend and if we werent ... that stuff would still be sealed up .

I'm going to organize my " cellar " today , it's a mess . I'll put a few things aside for " the opening " . Usually , when I do a special opening , I pretty much waylay whatevcer it is and save the last .5 oz in a small jar so that I get to enjoy it a little longer and not just kill off the tin/jar

I think I have some Mick McQuaid plug I've been aging for years ... Oh man , that would be excellent , as an example

So , who's with me for giving in to an opening ?

Whichever I open , I'll just gush about it for a while , lol

I'd love to say I have something great cellared but the oldest tobacco I have at this point can't be older than a few months... I do have a tin of Squadron Leader I've yet to try

I have one pipe left of some 3yr old fvf courtesy of Peacock- Sorry not time for it yet. I look at it every morning and evening and anyone watching would have to think Pavlov.
I do however have some 3 yr old Veermaster I put down for a nap and I am interested to see how I like it now.
Here’s to THE OPENING Ruff 2016 Veermaster!!

Dammit I'm trying to thin out the open jars but I keep pressing new blends and adding more  I'll probably dig around and see what I have that's new to me

I'll crack open a tin of Wessex Burley Slice this weekend. It's been about a year since I last had it, so I think it's time.

I will be opening something, but not before Stonehenge is finished.
Whatever gets opened will not have the five years of aging goal.
I have tins that have 30 years on them.
I have tins at five years plus.
I will let them keep on keeping on.
I am thinking some Tudor Castle
Why not??????

The only unpopped tins I have that are McC's. Their time has not yet come.

I have an unsmoked church warden. Does that count?

How about I take some tobacco from a tin that's already open and mix it with another tobacco from a tin that's already open. This will create an all new blend. Surely, that qualifies!
