I've been reading the six book Codex Alera by Jim Butcher while I waited for my favorite fantasy authors to publish new books. This series really caught me off guard, in that it is really good and probably deserves to be considered along with the likes of Sanderson, Weeks, and Rothfuss. Reminds me a little of Robert Jordan, it's kind of a Wheel of Time Lite, but I say that absolutely loving the series. I was so pleasantly surprised with this I'm reading his Dresden Files series next. I have 50 pages left and it's making me sad that it's over.

I'm currently reading Johns Wonderful Gospel by Ivor Powell and I just started Not Without My Daughter by Betty Mahmoody. Though I feel the urge to read some Lovecraft lately so I might just do so.

Codex Alera by Jim Butcher
The Demon Cycle by Peter Brett
The First Law Trilogy by Joe Abercrombie
currently reading the Riyria Revelations trilogy by Michael Sullivan, but it's just ok and not great

I had to put it down 300 pages in because my nightmares were getting too intense a couple months ago.
