It was good! It was Harrison's first go with crabs and he loved them. Gave him a cracker and a pick and he was in hog heaven!Kevin Keith wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2019 5:47 amOMG, you two are killing me! OB, we love Galveston, been going there forever. We don't have a Grandma there so we stay at the Hotel Galvez. Gaidos has really gown down hill...our favorite place nowadays is Shrimp N Stuff. What a great town.oldbill wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2019 10:12 pmBrings back fond memories of summer Saturdays when my whole family would go down to Galveston and go crab fishing off of the pier. Turkey necks on the end of a line and a long handled net is all that one needs to catch some dinner. We would come back with a whole, huge duffel bag full of crab and what didn't get eaten with lemon and butter Grandma would cook up in some gumbo with a side of salad topped with crab meat and her home made thousand island dressing.
Bruyere_Royale, that pan of crab looks flat out edible! Now I'm drinking coffee and smoking LCNVB in a PJL (plain jane Legend) and there's not a crab in sight.

Royal challenge in this green grabow.
A big storm came through last evening and wiped out power for a large part of the area. Lots of trees on power lines and poles broke. My place was spared.

Glad you made it though without damage, and feeling sorry for those who were not so fortunate.Crusty Cob wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2019 9:13 am Royal challenge in this green grabow.

Here on the Springfield Plateau it is hot, humid, but otherwise nice.
So, why not smoke some Escudo in the Scottie
No power in church this morning, that was interesting...Home for a delayed breakfast, forgot to take out the omelette eggs.
