I do miss Lone Star. Can get Shiner where I am. Used to go to Shiner, TX for the 4th of July each year. Their local celebration was awesome and not flooded with day trippers from Austin. The brewery would bring out tank trailers of beer and the fireworks were so close you would have ashes on you as you left. Good times.

Can't go wrong with cold whiskey, a hot grill and a good cigar.

It has already been descended upon and consumed entirely, like fire from Heaven.

I've seen cigar holders/mouthpieces on eBay.

Busy kitchen today.
First try of my refried bean recipe, a lasagne, a chilli and maybe good old mince and veg too.
Getting set for the week ahead.

Last night we had one of my favorite(and waist expanding) meals of Chicken & Dressing with Green beans, stewed Taters, Cole Slaw & jelled Cranberry Sauce. Kings don't eat that good :D Tonight it'll be a small salad to make up for being a glutton last night.

Mongo! (Filipino mung bean stew.) With pork belly, baby bok choy, garlic, onion, & tomato. It's kinda like a Filipino split pea soup. I serve it up with toasted Hawaiian sweet rolls! Yummm!
