Is anyone here a member and receiving the newsletter? I signed up for it today. I was a subscriber to 'Pipes and Tobaccos' magazine until they went kaput and have really missed getting a pipe magazine in the mail. I'm looking forward to receiving my first issue.

I used to be a member and I got a card to carry, useful for nothing but taking up space in my wallet. I never kept up with the club. One year's uneventful membership was enough. I don't have anything to say about the club except that about 15 years ago I gave them $15 for a card and then I forgot about the club until you brought it up. No harm no foul on either of our parts.

Maybe becoming a member will change your life and introduce you to the greater pipe smokers of America community. It didn't work out that way for me. My time is better spent posting with my pie-eyed knock-around pals here on PSF. Some pals! The people on PSF are nice people to know and correspond with. NASPC is a nice idea. It just didn't work out for me. I don't hold a grudge. Instead, I don't think about NASPC. YMMV. If you want to take a chance, do it! Report back later. I'm interested in how it works out for you.

Yeah, Pipes and Tobaccos was great. I kept all my issues and even bought some back issues when they had them on sale.

You will never hear someone say "pie-eyed" like a drunken Cajun does. I went most of my life believing that was a Cajun word until I saw it in writing! Man that makes me feel nostalgic.
