that pipe was as pristine as any unsmoked old pipe I've ever bought. I was super happy when I opened the box.

Today I couldn't help myself. I love a lumberman and this little GBD looks right on the money. Not as long as most lumbermen at 5.7", which is a plus for me because I don't like big pipes. I had to get rid of a very nice Orlik Canadian, not my favorite shape, to make room for this GBD, I am out of rack spaces.

Canadian with a tapered stem, Lumberman with a saddle bit. That's for oval shanks, Liverpool and Lovat are the round shank counterparts.

I like GBD's. This is a very nice one.

I vote for getting a new rack.

I've recently acquired seven "new to me" pipes; five from Mr. Beardsley, (four various Bones and one custom cob) and two Kaywoodie Saxons from houtenziel. I'll post pics as I smoke'em in WAYS.

It is hard to tell from the picture, but I can believe it has an oval shank.
