Good point. But I wouldn't drive to El Paso for a hat.Kevin Keith wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 6:09 pmRonv69 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 9:44 amThat's a bit of a drive from Georgia.Kevin Keith wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 1:53 am
Peters Brothers in Fort Worth could do it if any one could.

Atlanta to Fort Worth is 815 miles. Texarkana to El Paso is 813 miles. Just sayin'.

I don't think there's a decent hat maker in Texarkana. I could be mistaken.Riff89 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 7:08 pmI saw Jerry reed make it from Atlanta to Texarkana and back in 28 hours with a sheriff hot on his tail I’m sure Ruff could make it to Ft. Worth to get his hat catch a cattle drive, grab a beer at Billy Bobs and still make it home for supper.Kevin Keith wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 6:09 pm

I wouldn't drive to El Paso for many things. Anything, really. It is too far away from everything. Such is the state of Texas, God bless it. I would like to move to Texas. Not El Paso. I prefer civilization. I want to move to Beaumont.Ronv69 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 8:04 pmGood point. But I wouldn't drive to El Paso for a hat.Kevin Keith wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 6:09 pm

El Paso is a pretty nice place and much more civilized than Beaumont, but I suspect that you know that. There is a lot to see in west Texas.Citizen B wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 8:09 pmI wouldn't drive to El Paso for many things. Anything, really. It is too far away from everything. Beaumont.
Beaumont.
Beaumont.
Say it four times and your tongue will taste like candy.
People outside Beaumont belittle tapped out Spindletop, but not the good people of Beaumont. They know they have what it takes. Dreams come true in Beaumont, Texas.
Beaumont is good.
El Paso tastes like dust and salsa.
Beaumont tastes like opportunity waiting to happen.
