Introduced to me by my dad, cold tuna noodle casserole topped with Italian Style Salad Dressing, is one of the greatest leftover meals known to man.simplepipes wrote: ↑Sun May 15, 2022 6:54 pm As a young person there was never anything better on Friday than my Mother's Tuna & Noodle Casserole or a Tuna Salad Sandwich.
Having developed an allergy to tuna in my early twenties it remains no more than a fond memory . . .

My tuna salad is much like my mom's, but with a few refinements. I prefer solid white albacore, but will use chunk light; I like to mix packed in water with packed in oil. It's well drained. I make the salad with celery, finely chopped onion, dill relish, and mayo. Salt and pepper. No Miracle Whip - that stuff is gross.

I like chili peppers but I never had one with a tuna sandwich...I'm just a pickle(bread n butter)and chips guy when it comes to that sandwich. I will add that to my bucket list.

Give it a shot. Like @Mr Beardsley said, chili peppers make everything better. I like jalapeno or serrano peppers with nearly every meal. Just enough heat and loads of flavor. Bread n butter chips are a favorite of mine too.Tsal wrote: ↑Mon May 16, 2022 5:04 amI like chili peppers but I never had one with a tuna sandwich...I'm just a pickle(bread n butter)and chips guy when it comes to that sandwich. Like @Wildcat I prefer the sliced peperoncini for sandwiches and salads myself.

@Tsal and @Kevin Keith you guys should try the Famous Dave's devils spit pickle chips. Sweet but have a decent kick.
I'm a big fan of fresh jalapeno slices with fish. Especially on the rare occasion that I have sushi. That bit of spice opens up the flavors big time
