Is that sort of like the crunchy garlic chili oil from trader Joe's?
Can't say, I've never tried it.

I'll post a pic when I crack the seal. The previous jar was polished off last night.

Upon reviewing this entire thread I discovered that I have not yet chipped in with my hot sauce picks. Shame on me. Worse, nobody here explicitly asked for my opinion. Scoff! Shame on you! ;)

I have eight or so hot sauces in the fridge at the moment, but here are my usual go-tos:
  • Firewalker from Asheville ... Great on meats and Mexican-style food as it is citrusy.
  • Arizona Gunsliger ... Excellent on all breakfast foods!
  • Tabasco Chipotle ... An oldie, but a goodie for all Mexican-style/Tex-Mex foods.
  • Sriracha (of course!) ... Great on Asian-style food, Indian excluded.
When I'm not using hot sauce, chili crisp is filling the flavor and spice needs!

I had Tabasco Jalapeño on my omlette this morning and it was great. Absolutely delicious and zero heat. I don't like really hot stuff but this could use a little.

I like the taste, but not a lot of the heat from hot sauce. Louisiana is good. I like Frank's as well and anymore I buy this from Aldi. I think it's Frank's. If it's not it's dang close. Really good IMHO.

According to their website it's a 5 on a heat scale of 10

My wife's favorite is Frank's. It does go well on many things, especially wings. Since we do the bulk of our shopping at Aldi, we end up with this same kind. I agree; it's really close to Frank's.

Agreed. 99.9% Ivory Soap pure and on the spot! We do a large portion of our shopping at Aldi as well. Great minds and thrifty pockets think alike!

Definitely is. Not overly hot either. I don't think it's available outside that area though. I am just about out, so will need to seek it out again next time I'm down there.
