My wife loves that combo. And when it's done on one hog skin at a time it's delicious. When she puts them in a bag and shakes it around with the tobasco I find the smell absolutely nauseating

Funny thing that I forgot to mention earlier. Both tapatio and cholula give me heartburn every single time I eat them (I don't touch them anymore) but I find them to be in the medium range of heat. El yucateco doesn't bother me a bit and I find it quite a bit hotter. The black bottle yucateco is smokey and fantastic. The Caribbean is probably my favorite. The xxtra hot lives up to its name for me

Right? It's definitely not a west coast type of thing though a lot of the small bags of chicharrones out here come with a packet of hot sauce

Those are more popular with the Hispanic population. Not the same flavor.Mr Beardsley wrote: ↑Sun Dec 11, 2022 8:48 pmRight? It's definitely not a west coast type of thing though a lot of the small bags of chicharrones out here come with a packet of hot sauce
On a side note I picked up a bottle of the Jalapeño Tobasco sauce today. Haven't tried it yet.

We should be ashamed that we let the hot sauce thread die. I just picked up a bottle of the Louisiana hot sauce yesterday and it really is delicious so thanks to whoever posted it originally. It's like tobasco with actual pepper flavor and a little bit of heat. It will definitely be a staple around here from now on
